CV Born in 1983, Will Kendrick is a graduate of Bath School of Art and Design, and lives and works in Bristol. Will grew up in the North West of England in the seaside town of Blackpool where his infatuation with colour and light was born. The amusement arcades, casinos, neons and garish illuminations that line Blackpool’s Golden Mile have a powerful impact on his current practice - each of these elements revealed in an eruption of gaudy, kitsch and eccentric display of colour, light and material. A selection of these works have been exhibited in: The Nature of Change: Hybridity and Mutation at the Truman Brewery London, Constructing Current Painting at the Octagon Bath, 97 Miles West at Free Range London, Rising Stars at the Coombe Gallery in Dartmouth, and also as part of a collaborative project with Alex Cotterell at both the Illuminate Bath festival and Fringe Arts Bath. Will was also selected for the Tate Modern project organised by Bath, Norwich and Winchester art schools and hosted by Tate Modern. Will currently lives and works in Bristol.
